About Melanie
Hi, my name is Melanie Haystrick, a Strongsville native with a broad career in real estate. I work with first-time homebuyers, seniors who are downsizing, and everyone in-between. Hoarding? Not a problem - I've dealt with that too. Even house flipping.
I graduated from Holy Name High School, I have an associate’s degree from Tri-C, and a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University. I took my real estate classes at Hondros College.
I love being a realtor because every buy, every sale, every client, tells a different story. And to be part of someone's chapter in life is a compliment and honor.
Why should I represent you? Well for one, (sorry for not being politically correct here) I don't do anything half ass, which is critical in this business. For two, I am meticulous and organized. I am knowledgeable, professional, real estate savvy, and 100% committed to providing you with the fiduciary duties you're owed. And further, I am friendly, easy to work with, compassionate in sensitive situations, and respected in the communities in which I'm involved. You will not be let down!
PERSONAL STORY ABOUT SENIORS
I never realized how complicated it cound be to downsize a senior until I inherited an extremely complex situation. My mom owned 2 homes, was a hoarder, and showed signs of dementia. Within a 2 year timeframe, I moved her into an apartment, to assisted living, and then to memory care. We faced many challenges along the way; limited resources, a fixed income, lost documents, and declining health to name a few. It was something we tackled strategically and in stages. We needed a good attorney, an auctioneer, dumpsters, and most importantly, safe places for her to go. I rallied a team together, and along the way, gained a wealth of knowledge, and made incredible professional connections.
When all was said and done, I decided to get my SRES Designation because I wanted to learn more about the needs of the silent generation and baby boomers as it pertains to real estate and support.
